About the Market

Welcome
The Oostburg Community Share the Harvest Farmers’ Market, in its 2nd year, is an outlet for Wisconsin-produced homegrown fruits, vegetable, flowers, and other farm products.

The market is intended to give growers and producers of goods an opportunity to sell directly to consumers. Local farmers can offer variety, freshness, taste and nutrition, as well as demonstrate the uses and benefits of quality locally grown products. The market will provide positive social interactions and ways for people to meet.

The market is also intended to minister to the community by sharing profits from the market, making financial contributions to families, individuals, or groups with identified financial needs. The Share the Harvest outreach team will consider financial needs and disbursements based on referrals. Fundraising efforts are intended to focus on specific needs as well as raise community awareness.

As host of Share the Harvest, Oostburg Christian School invites the community to become involved in the efforts of our mission. As a seller, shopper, volunteer, or member of the planning team, we welcome your participation in the Market and hope to see you there often.

Participation
You may participate in the Share the Harvest ministry in several ways. First, in order to have a successful market, we are in need of vendors. Vendors will be required to pay $12 or 10% of sales, whichever is lesser, as a participation fee for each attended market day. Vendors are also required to follow Wisconsin State laws regarding selling farm products. Please contact the market board to request a copy of market rules and a vendor application form. You may also download this information by going to the Vendor Terms and Agreement Section located here.

Share the Harvest will accept fresh garden produce donations from local gardeners who choose not to sell as vendors, but have a surplus of produce they wish to share. Profits from donated produce is 100% and goes directly toward our mission.

Share the Harvest Market volunteers are needed to sell produce that is donated by local gardeners. This group of volunteers will help set-up, sell, and take down on market days.

Finally, we need loyal customers who share our appreciation for fresh, local produce and farm products. Our customers have the added bonus of knowing Share the Harvest is mission-minded and has a goal to serve needs throughout our community.
